—02 Chair Pose

The Utkatasana or the Chair Pose is one of the best yoga poses for posture improvement. Your body needs to hold the seated position as if you were sitting on an imaginary chair. This asana works amazingly well for the hips, knees, and lower back. Also, as you sit on this imaginary chair, your back is erect, and shoulders are stretched out. It teaches your body how to align itself, and thereby, you slowly, but surely improve your posture.

—04 Cat Pose

The Balasana is also called the Child Pose, and it is a restorative posture. But it also works as an exercise for your shoulders and back. This asana works well to correct your stance and help you sit or stand without harming your back.

Child pose calms the body, mind and spirit and stimulates the third eye point. Child pose gently stretches the low back, massages and tones the abdominal organs, and stimulates digestion and elimination.

—05 Hero Pose

Virasana or Hero pose is a balm for tired legs at the end of the day, essentially a basic, sitting posture, it is excellent for meditation. This is a seated yoga pose that makes it difficult to slouch. Sit on your heels and sit up straight with the crown of your head towards the sky. If you have knee issues, this will not be your pose. If you can’t sit on your heels, get an ergonomic chair that mimics this pose or use a pillow for cushion. Although it is a wonderful pose to keep your knees mobile and healthy, but you should avoid sarcasm if you have knee or ankle injury In Sanskrit, “Veera” means man, hero, or chief and “asana “Means, thus English hero Pose.
